Hello everyone, as the title suggests this post is about Kits, Kits & more Kits! I am so glad that I set myself my short term goal of completing all the kist that I had hoarded as I have completed all but the most recent Designer Tin of Cards. As you can see in the photos I have successfully completed the Watercolour Wishes kit from the Annual catalogue, the original Tin of Cards, the ‘Enjoy the Little Things’ project kit from the 2016 Occasions catalogue and the Oh Happy Day kit. I not only have a real sense of achievement I also have lots of cards and with the beautiful gold tins that are FREE from the Sale-A-Bration catalogue they will make some lovely birthday presents and gifts.

I have one more kit completely unopened, The Designer Tin of Cards, which I will share with you when complete. I’m determined to get all the kits completed before I play with any of my new products which are due to arrive later this week, in fact I will try not to even open the box!

Once Ive completed all the kits I will set myself a goal to use the Designer Series Paper (DSP) that I have hoarded.

Hello everyone, well the header gives you a good idea of the topic lol! I know a lot of crafters, and particularly Stampin’ Up! demonstrators have a habit of hoarding their beautiful Designer Series Paper (DSP) and I know that I am one of them. I was full of good intentions before the Christmas catalogue went on sale that I was going to use up all my retired stash before ordering anymore – well that didn’t happen! Pinterest has a lot to answer for, products you weren’t interested in come alive on there as there are so many talented crafters out there that I ended up ordering some and then went to classes and got more…..

However when I was putting all my Christmas stuff away and getting ready for the new Spring Summer catalogue and Saleabration (on sale 4th January – 31st March 2017) I discovered that I am also a KIT HOARDER! I had 5 kits!

 

 

 

 

 

 

One is fully retired and I had used a couple of cards from it, two other from the Annual Catalogue that I had used a couple of cards and two completely unopened! So rather than make New Year resolutions I set myself a short term goal to complete all these kits before I do anything else. Today I finished the original Tin Of Cards Kit and decorated the tin, one lucky person will be getting it as a present. I will let you know how I get on with the other kits in  my next post, one down four to go!

A very Happy New Year to everyone.

I don’t know where the past few months have gone, certainly December seemed to fly by! I hope everyone had a good festive season? I don’t know about you but I’m ready to go on the brand new Stamping’ Up! Spring & Summer products which are on sale in 3 days…..woohoo, there are some wonderful things coming as well as the wonderful months of January, February and March being Sale-a-Bration time.

I have been playing today with one of the stamp sets that I was lucky enough to be given at On Stage in November, and as a Demonstrator I was able to preorder the matching edgelit. I think this is one of my all time favourites! I made 5 cards which I started by ‘caseing’ one made by Sue Bridge. As my brain wasn’t functioning properly when I cut the cardstock I made all sorts of ‘happy accidents’ so the styles all look completely different!

I know Christmas is over for another year, I wanted to share my absolute favourite Christmas card of 2016. My husband said it was one of the best ones I’ve ever made.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I don’t know about you, I am one of the may hoarders of Designer Series Paper (DSP) and often find that I have lots of retired.

I recently discovered that I was also hoarding ‘kits’! So I decided that I was going to make all the cards kits that I have and using the beautiful Card Tins that Stampin’ Up! have some lucky recipients will be getting them as birthday presents.

Hello from an Autumnal UK. The temperature is dropping and the sun is shining, Autumn is definitely here and Halloween is just around the corner. Woohoo, time to get out all my Halloween goodies, including this Witches Hat made from last years kit, along with Curvy keepsake pumpkins. I hope you like them as much as I do!

I hope you’re enjoying the summer, I know it seems strange to be talking about Christmas in August! The Stampin’ Up! Autumn/Winter Holidays Catalogue goes on sale on 1st September and as a demonstrator I’ve been lucky to preorder a couple of stamp sets and want to share a couple of Christmas cards that I’ve made with them.

I cased (copy & share everything) the Snowman from Maureen Colville, thank you for the inspiration Maureen – a real quick & easy card.

 

The Jars of Love (card 3) I cased from Billie Moan, I love it although there is quite a lot of work with stamping, die cutting  as well as fussy cutting so I don’t think it would work for a large batch of cards. Card 2 is my own creation, I wanted to see how the Banners would work with the Jars and I’m really pleased with the outcome. There’s still die cutting but not so much fussy cutting. Which one do you prefer of the three cards – I would love you to leave me a comment below.

Birthday Present

Hi everyone, I wanted to share my Birthday Present with you. It’s the best one ever! My wonderful husband gave me a new craft room and I love it! My friend Joan recommended Dulux Light & Space paint as its a small room and the paint is reflective, the floor is from B&Q, the blind from Homebase and everything else is from IKEA.

I had looked at lots of YouTube videos of other Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators craft rooms and the inspiration for the shelf on the desk is from Connie Stewart, as are some of the accessories on the desk, thanks Connie.

As we’re travelling at the moment I thought I would show you the pictures of my craft room, before and after!

As you can see it was a mess! I am so pleased with my wonderful birthday present, it is so bright and a joy to work in. 

 

Hi everyone, I wanted to share with you a card that was made using one of the new In-Colours, a little bit of Emerald Envy. Green is one of my favourite colours and I love this particular shade of green. I spent a day crafting with two friends on Monday and this was one that was cased from Pinterest (Sam Donald). I had a friend coming over for coffee and a card on Tuesday morning and I thought this would be a fun one for her to make, and it was. 

The background lines were stamped in Smoky Slate, and the bubbles in Emerald Envy are from one of the new stamp sets in the 2016-2017 Annual Catalogue, ‘Playful Backgrounds’ . The backgrounds were stamped first, then the Grateful Bunch flowers were stamped and punched and adhered over the silver twine with glue dots. A couple of pearls in the middle of the flowers and  the Whisper White card adhered to the Emerald Envy card base and we were done. I have left mine blank of any sentiment, I can always add it later. My friend put a sympathy sentiment in as a family member had just had a bereavement.

Card in a Box matching set

Hi Everyone, I wanted to show you the Card in a Box matching set that I made for m y brother to give to his good friend for her birthday. I used the Wildflower Designer Series Paper and use the Botanicals dies for the 3d effect, along with the Grateful Bunch stamp set which I then punched out. The request was for purples and reds, and  it took me three attempts to get the card colours right. I started with a Blackberry Bliss base with the darker shades of paper, I thought it was too dark so that went out the window. Then I tried the dark paper with Watermelon Wonder and it just didn’t look right so onto card number three! This time I went for the lighter base of Wisteria Wonder with the lighter shades of paper and used the Blackberry Bliss and Calypso Coral card stock for the Botanical flowers. The request was for a ‘subtle’ ’70’ so I die cut the ‘Little Numbers’ and placed the silver ’70’ onto the Wisteria Wonder Grateful Bunch flower. My brother was really pleased with them and said he can’t wait to give them to his friend, I really hope she likes them!
