Friday With Fiona – Happy Hedgehogs & Card in a Box

Hello everyone and welcome back to Friday with Fiona! Every week, I pick a product and design projects with it and show you how to make them during a Live; this week, I’ll be using the Happy Hedgehogs Stamp and Hedgehog Builder Punch to show you how to make a Card In A Box.

You will need: Happy Hedgehogs Stamp and Hedgehog Builder Punch, ink, cardstock, Paper Snips, trimmer and adhesive to complete your projects.

Supplies:

STAMPS: Happy Hedgehogs  

PAPER: Crumb Cake, Basic White, Happy Forest Friends Designer Series Paper, Glimmer Paper

INK: Memento Black, Night of Navy Stampin’ Blends, Parakeet Party Stampin’ Blends, Soft Suede, Stampin’ Blends, Sweet Sorbet Stampin’ Blends.

ADHESIVES: Stampin’ Dimensionals, Stampin Seal +. Tombow.

TOOLS: Hedgehog Builder Punch, Seasonal Labels Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine, 

Instructions:

  1. Cut Crumb Cake card 28 cm x 10.7 cm and score on the short side at 7 cm, score on the long side at 1.2 cm, 4.1 cm , 14.6 cm, 17.5 cm.
  2. Cut the smallest tab off, leaving a small flap, cut up to the score line on the shortest side to create the flaps.
  3. Fold over and glue the card to the smallest tab which creates the Card In A Box.
  4. Cut a piece of Crumb Cake 2.5 cm x 10.1 cm and score 1.2 cm at either end, glue the ends and place in the middle of the card.
  5. Cut Designer Series Paper to decorate the outer layers of the box, glue to the front, sides and flaps: Base – 2.5 cm x 6.4 cm (2), 10.2 cm x 6.4 cm (1), Flaps – 3.5 cm x 2.5 cm (2), 3.5 cm x 10.2 cm (1), Inside Back – 10 cm x 10 cm (1).
  6. Cut Basic White 10 cm x 10 cm and glue to the back – this is where you will write your message.
  7. Stamp the Hedgehogs, Tree, Bird and colour using Stampin’ Blends. 
  8. Punch the large Hedgehog and fussy cut the smaller one, the bird and the tree and adhere to the card ‘shelf’
  9. Stamp sentiment and die cut labels, glue to front flap using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
