Hello everyone,
Today I thought I would share with you the first in a series of quick and easy daisy cards. Although they are quick & easy I think they still have a ‘wow’ to them. As I have a few birthdays in September I thought it was the ideal time to get out my daisy punch. I love the effect that the Tufted embossing folder has on the metallic card, I think it makes it really ‘pop’.
Below you will find the instructions to card no:1:
Instructions:
- Make your card base using half a sheet of A4 cardstock, (in the UK this is 14.85 x 10.5cm when folded)
- Cut a strip of cardstock in a colour of your choice, I have used Lemon Lime Twist and glue this to the card base. (14.85 x 5 cm).
- Cut a piece of black cardstock (10 x 9cm)
- Cut a piece of metallic card slightly smaller than the black card and emboss using the Tufted embossing folder.
- Glue it to the black card, then adhere to the card base slightly off centre.
- Punch two daisies in Whisper White card and glue them together so the leaves are overlapping.Punch a piece of card matching your wide strip with the 3/4 ” punch and add to the daisy using dimensionals.
- Cut a strip of black cardstock to go across the front of the metallic card.
- Stamp a sentiment of your choice on Whisper White card and punch out a ‘flag’ at the right hand end. Glue to the black card.
- Add the Daisy using dimensions and you have your lovely card.
I saw this on Pinterest and couldn’t wait to try it – Thank You to the wonderful Mary Fish for the inspiration.
